摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mercury pycnometer for measuring a density capable of measuring a fuel nuclear density more precisely than the prior method, and a method for measuring the fuel nuclear density by the pycnometer. SOLUTION: The pycnometer is provided with a storage part for storing a sample, a capillary tube of which the one end part is integrally disposed in the state penetrating from the bottom part of the storage part to its inside, and a lid sealing the storage part by superposing with the opening edge in the rubbing state covering the storage part opening. A fixing jig having two members fixing the state mounting the lid to the storage part is provided by wrapping the whole storage part in the sealing state by mounting the lid in the state that the capillary tube is protruded outward from the direction facing each other, and by fitting and fixing it releasable with each other.
