摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate pattern display, having an abnormal dispersion value at a specific input level, when an image which is applied with a dither method for performing an operation to inputted video data is displayed. SOLUTION: In an image quality correcting circuit, which is provided with a dither arithmetic part 24 which converts input video data having (m+n) bits into video data, having (m) bits and outputs the video data to a video display device, a gamma correcting part 22 which is provided with an ROM 12 for gamma correction, an adder 26, a comparator 28 and a switcher 30 is disposed in the preceding stage of the dither arithmetic part 24. Since data subjected to a gamma correction are read from the ROM 12 by the input video data as addresses and the data are added in the adder 26 and the input video data are compared with set data in the comparator 28, and the data read out from the ROM 12 are changed over to the calculated data of the adder 28 in the switcher 30 based on the compared result and outputted to the part 24, the pattern display having abnormal dispersion values in the video display can be eliminated by setting properly the set data.
