PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizing weight for barricade capable of being surely installed, by a simple operation, on a barricade used in a construction site and an off limit area without using a heavy sandbag and, as required, formed so as to be carried easily by reducing weight when not in use. SOLUTION: A block body 1 is hung on an under pole U installed generally horizontally between the stands S of the barricade B. A crotch slit 11 formed in the block body 1 on the ground-contact side is inserted onto the under pole U and, at the insertion completed position of the under pole U, the block body 1 is twisted horizontally to engage the inserted under pole U with a hooking recessed part 12 continued to the side of the crotch slit 11 so as to engagedIy support the lower edge side of the under pole U. Thus the barricade B can be stabilized by hooking the block body on the under pole U.
