PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas dispersion plate for a fluidized bed type gas phase polymerization apparatus which prevents the clogging of a hole in the plate, solves the problems of suspended polymerization due to the agglomeration and allows stable operation for a long time. SOLUTION: In the plate, the upper part of each hole is turned to the arbitrary directions, two apertures with a cross-section ratio of 1:1-1:10 are equipped and the each hole is covered with a cap of which the ratio may be the same or different. The ratio of two apertures is preferably 1:5-1:7 and the angle which their directions make is preferably 180 deg.. The visible outline of the longitudinal section of the cap is a taper or venturi type. As the fluidized bed type gas phase polymerization apparatus, it is desirable to have a stirrer.
