PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable measuring of the film thickness and moisture content of, for example, even a black ink which absorbs a large amount of a near infrared light, all at once (simultaneous measurement), in a printer. SOLUTION: This ink film thickness and moisture content measuring device 1 is provided at the printer and comprises a terahertz electromagnetic wave generator 2 which generates a terahertz electromagnetic wave and irradiates the ink 8 with the electromagnetic wave, a terahertz electromagnetic wave receiver 3 which receives terahertz the electromagnetic wave which reflects after passing through the ink 8 and an arithmetic processing part 6 which calculates the ink film thickness and the moisture content of the ink 8 based on the intensity of the terahertz electromagnetic wave with which the ink 8 is irradiated by the generator 2 and the intensity of the terahertz electromagnetic wave received by the receiver 3. |
