PHOTOSENSITIVE RESIN COMPOSITION, COLOR FILTER AND LIQUID CRYSTAL PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new curable resin capable of controlling the content of an alicyclic hydrocarbon group which contributes to heat resistance and strength, an alkali-soluble group and a radical polymerizable group such as a (meth)acryloyl group which contributes to curability. SOLUTION: The curable resin comprises an alicyclic hydrocarbon group- containing copolymer having a molecular structure obtained by linking a constitutional unit having a pendant structure with a specified alicyclic hydrocarbon group, a constitutional unit having a pendant structure with an acidic functional group and a constitutional unit having a pendant structure with a radical polymerizable group. A coating composition containing the curable resin is provided. This coating composition is applied to a substrate, selectively exposed through a mask or the like and photo-cured. This coating composition is very suitable for forming the colored layers, protective layer and columnar spacers of a color filter.
