PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera where troublesomeness in operation is restrained when the camera is focused on a main subject in desired composition as a camera equipped with an autofocusing device. SOLUTION: This camera is equipped with a distance measuring part for measuring a distance to the subject at an optional viewing angle position on a range-finding feasible line within a viewing angle, a display part for displaying an image within the specified viewing angle of field and an operation part for designating the main subject within the viewing angle displayed on the display part in accordance with the operation, whereby the distance to the main subject is measured by the distance measuring part whatever viewing angle position the main subject exists at, and the camera is focused on the obtained distance. |
