<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic bottle for beverage which can be applied to an automatic vender having a stopper for restricting a dropping of the bottle at a bottle passage in a column and cause the bottle to be engaged with the stopper by at least two reinforcing segments of the bottle. SOLUTION: There is provided a plastic bottle including an opening segment; a shoulder segment; a barrel segment comprised of a polygonal upper barrel and a cylindrical lower barrel; and a bottom segment characterized in that lateral notch ribs are arranged at an interface between the shoulder segment and the upper barrel segment and at an interface between the upper barrel segment and the lower barrel segment, both upper end and lower end of the upper barrel segment are provided with a cylindrical surface subsequent to the lateral notch ribs, and a height ranging from a bottom end wall to the lower end of the upper barrel segment is larger than a distance ranging from a wall surface at the bottle bottom end in the bottle passage of the automatic vender to the end part of the stopper.</p> |
