POLYESTER COMPOSITION, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME AND MOLDING COMPRISING THE COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester composition having excellent transparency and gas barrier properties, to provide a method for producing the same and to obtain a molding composed of the composition. SOLUTION: This polyester composition comprises (A) a polyester which is composed of a dicarboxylic acid unit consisting of 0-50 mol% of a constitutent unit derived from terephthalic acid and 50-100 mol% of a constitutent unit derived from isophthalic acid and a diol unit consisting of 25-100 mol% of a constitutent unit derived from ethylene glycol and 0-75 mol% of a constitutent unit derived from 1,3-bis(2-hydroxyethoxy)benzene and has 0.5-1.5 dl/g intrinsic viscosity, (B) an aromatic polyamide, (C) a polyethylene terephthalate and/or the polyethylene terephthalate and, if required, a polyfunctional compound having trifunctionality or polyfunctionality of a functional group having reactivity with the component (A), (B) or (C) or its anhydride.
