PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search for a route avoiding a traffic jam section without using any traffic information by searching an area including a specific facility on the basis of map information and retrieving the route according to the area for avoiding an area expecting a jam or passing an area wherein necessary facilities are concentrated. SOLUTION: This navigation device is provided with a map information storage means storing information about specific facilities, a retrieval means making access to the map information storage means for retrieving the specific facilities and setting an area wherein the specific facilities are concentrated as a specific facility area, and a searching means changing a retrieval cost inside the specific facility area and searching for the route. |
