PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for processing sensitive materials which prevents damage caused by sticking to each other of the rolls of a roll pair with processing liquid. SOLUTION: When the rolls are cleaned at the time of start of device operation, time data stored in a memory is read, and a tuning-on time TON is set on the basis of this time data, and power is supplies and cut off repeatedly in each half cycle of an AC voltage on the basis of this turning-on time to supply the voltage of a root-mean-square value corresponding to the turning-on time (steps 200 to 08). This turning-on time is updated at intervals of a prescribed time to stepwise raise the root-mean-square value of the AC voltage (steps 206 to 216). Thus output torque of a carrying motor is slowly raised to prevent the damage of a gear or the like which transmits driving force to the carrying roll. |
