SILICONE RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL INSULATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone rubber composition for high-voltage electrical insulators having excellent electrical characteristics such as weather and tracking resistances even under conditions exposed to severe air pollution or weather after thermosetting and having excellent mechanical properties of a cured product. SOLUTION: This silicone rubber composition for the high-voltage electrical insulators comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of an organopolysiloxane represented by the following average compositional formula (1) RnSiO(4-n)/2 (1) (Rs are each an unsubstituted or a substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group of the same or different kind; and n is a positive number of 1.98-2.02), (B) 1-100 pts.wt. of a silica fine powder, (C) 50-300 pts.wt. of aluminum hydroxide subjected to surface treatment with a silicon-containing compound having an unsaturated group and a silicon-containing compound without any unsaturated group and having 1.5-5.0μm average particle diameter and (D) 0.01-10 pts.wt. of an organic peroxide.
