SPREADING COMMUNICATION SYSTEM USING PARTIAL RESPONSE CODER

PURPOSE: A spreading communication system using a partial response coder is provided to improve a processing gain by compressing a baseband at a minimum frequency bandwidth. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting part in a spreading communication system consists of a duo-binary coding unit(10) and a partial response coder(20). The duo-binary coding unit(10) receives input data(d(k)) and generates a duo-binary signal(VD(k)). The duo-binary coding unit(10) is composed of a preprocessing coding unit and an adder(14). The preprocessing coding unit includes a modulo-2 adder(11) and a time delay unit(12). The partial response coder(20), comprising an impulse generator(21) and a baseband spherical filter(22), generates a partial response signal(P(k)). The impulse generator(21) converts the duo-binary signal(VD(k)) into an impulse. The baseband spherical filter(22) filters the impulse.
