PURPOSE: Cigarette paper obtained by incorporating zeolite and silver ion water into pulp of peach leaves and Chinese bellflower leaves is provided which has characteristic flavor and reduces the content of nicotine and proliferation of bacteria. Thus the obtained pulp is also used as a cigarette filter. CONSTITUTION: Above 40% by weight of Leaves of peach and Chinese bellflower(Platycodon grandiflorum(Jacq.)A.DC.) are ground, mixed with 3% by weight of zeolite, based on the total weight of cigarette paper, cooked, washed, screened in the first stage, bleached and screened in the second stage. Thereafter, 30ppm silver ion water is sprayed on the both surfaces of pulp, hot air dried and passed through a compression roller during a paper making process.
