BIDIRECTIONAL DRIVEN GAS CIRCUIT BREAKER

PURPOSE: A bidirectional driven gas circuit breaker is provided to improve the performance of fault current breaking and insulating recovery by moving a fixed arc contact in a direction opposite to that of a movable arc contact with a same speed. CONSTITUTION: A circuit breaker(301) blocks the flowing of normal current and a fault current. A manipulator(302) operates the circuit breaker(301). The circuit breaker(301) is comprised of a fixed main contact(303), a second movable arc contact(304), a movable main contact(305), a movable arc contact(306), a puffer cylinder(307), a nozzle(308), and a piston(309). A second movable arc contact moving unit is provided for moving the second movable arc contact(304) and fixed on one end of a supporting member that supports the movable main contact(305). The second movable arc contact moving unit is comprised of a plurality of first and second link members, and a plurality of supporting members.
