<p>1312461 Laminates; seaming non-metallic sheet material GLANZSTOFF AG 30 June 1970 [26 July 1969] 31529/70 Headings B5K and B5N A process for bonding together two similar or dissimilar sheet materials which are leather or leather substitute comprising arranging between the materials a woven fabric which consists of at least 60% by weight of threads or fibres which are fusible at temperatures of between 80‹ and 130‹ C. and bonding the fabric to the sheets by high frequency welding. The fusible threads and fibres may be made from polyamides derived from adipic acid and bis-(3-amino propyl) ether, propylene - bis - (3 - aminopropyl)ether or butylene-bis-(3-aminopropyl )ether, from copolyamides derived from adipic acid, the adipic acid salt of hexamethylene diamine and bis-(3-aminopropyl)ether, ethylene-bis-(3-aminopropyl)- ether or butylene - bis - (3 - aminopropyl)- ether, from copolyamides derived from ecaprolactam and the adipic acid salt of hexamethylene diamine or from copolymers of vinyl chloride with vinyl acetate. Fibres or threads of polyesters, polyamides or cotton may also be present in the fabric. Specified sheet materials are kid leather, P.V.C. films, crimped fleeces of polyamide and cellulose fibres which have been coated with plasticizer resistant, cross-linked butadiene-acrylonitrile rubber, a synthetic poromeric material comprising a needled polyester fleece which has been impregnated with a polyurethane, has a textile insert made of a mixture of polyester and cotton and a covering layer of a polyether urethane, a synthetic poromeric material comprising a fleece of polyamide and regenerated cellulose fibres which has been impregnated with a polyurethane and has a covering layer of polyurethane and a synthetic poromeric material comprising a needled fleece of polyamide fibres impregnated with a polyurethane and having a covering layer of polyurethane. The examples describe the preparation of composite shanks which are then punched out to form straps having a welding seam along each edge thereof.</p> |
