PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient printer in which unjamming can be facilitated. SOLUTION: From a platen roller 16 toward a stocker 4, the corner 15a of a line thermal head 15, a guide 23 and a sheet discharge guide 28 are arranged in this order such that a printed thermal sheet 3 is discharged to the stocker 4 while being guided by them. When the sheet discharge guide 28 disposed above a housing 2 is turned upward, a head release cam 41 and a guide release cam 42 interlock to open a gap between the platen roller 16 and the line thermal head 15 and a reversal guide 25. Consequently, a sheet discharge feed roller and an unjamming mechanism can be eliminated. Furthermore, since the thermal sheet 3 can be removed by simply operating the sheet discharge guide 28, a compact printer requiring no extra lever nor handle for unjamming can be provided.
