PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overturn preventing device for a folding gate which can be easily handled and rotated and stored for its main body. SOLUTION: Wheels 23 for preventing an overturn are installed to the lower side of the main body 4 of an expansion type folding gate along one side of the ground surface in the opening and closing direction in a freely movable manner up and down; linking pieces 26 for preventing the overturn in inner and outer directions of the gate main body 4 by freely linking or detaching manner, when the main body 4 is in a predetermined position, are provided in the opening or closing direction of the gate main body 4, which floats up when the wheel 23 for overturn prevention is in a contracted state and drops when the wheel is in an extended state because a linking projection 39 is provided, which is linked or detached to/from the side of an overturn preventing wheel 23 by the expansion or shrinkage of the main body 4 thereby raising or dropping the overturn preventing wheel 23.
