PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a gasket as a lip strip groove supporting the gasket is left as it is made discontinuous at the crossing section of a vertical frame and a horizontal frame. SOLUTION: In a glass supporting structure in which the lip strip grooves 37a and 20a for supporting the gasket are formed respectively to the horizontal frame 4B and the vertical frame 3A while mounting leg sections formed to the rear of the gasket are fitted to these lip strip grooves 37a and 20a and glass G is supported on at least one side of the glass G, the lip strip grooves 37a and 20a are left as they are made discontinuous without notching the side wall of one strip groove at the crossing section of the horizontal frame 4B and the vertical frame 3A, the mounting leg section 62a corresponding to the crossing section of the lip strip grooves is cut off while the corner-section gasket 62 crossed over the lip strip groove 20a of the vertical frame 3A and the lip strip groove 37a of the horizontal frame 4B is disposed, and the linear-section gaskets 64 and 65 are arranged while being continued to the end face of the corner-section gasket 62.
