The child seat support cradle (1) has a standing part (12) and supports a curved sliding tilt base (2) which supports the seat (3) on a turntable assembly. The cradle is secured to a vehicle seat in known manner by means of the safety harness straps. The seat tilts as the base (2) slides on the cradle, and is rotatable from front to rear facing when moved away from the cradle back (12). Locking mechanisms are included in all positions of the base (2) and the seat turntable.
