PURPOSE: Provided is a thermal energy storage material for boiler, which can miniaturize the boiler and thus reduce equipment cost and maintenance cost of the boiler. CONSTITUTION: The thermal energy storage material for boiler is produced by introducing 46-56 vol% of water into a mixture consisting of 37-42 vol% of SiO2; and oxides of 3.8-7.8 vol% of Al, 0.5-1.1 vol% of Ca, 0.5-1.1 wt% of Mg, 0.5-1.1 vol% of K, 1.7-2.3 wt% of Na, and 0.3-0.9 vol% of Fe; and stirring the mixture to form mineral slurry. The thermal energy storage material is chemically nontoxic, and retains water in lattice and gap of particles of each of the minerals including SiO2 when mixed with water. Also, the thermal energy storage material has excellent latent heat effect. |
