PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow sight meter capable of preventing generation of a stray light signal, and of detecting only a particle signal by a principal light. SOLUTION: A laser diode 1 is arranged so that the minor axis direction of an elliptical cross section of a laser light and the flowing direction of a sample liquid in a flow cell 6 are made parallel. The radial laser light emitted from the laser diode 1 is formed into parallel light via a window 2 and a collimator lens 3 which is a means for forming parallel light, and forms a first focus on the sample liquid flow in the flow cell 6 via a condenser lens 5.
