PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system for an engine, having a simple structure and promoting warming of the engine, when the engine is cold. SOLUTION: A second flow control valve 13 for controlling the flow rate of a cooling medium supplied to a cylinder head cooling passage 2a and a cylinder block cooling passage 3a, and a second pumping mechanism 12, activated by the driving force other than an engine 1, are arranged in series in a radiator passage 9. A switching valve 11 for controlling whether the second flow control valve 13 and the second pumping means 12 is to be made to communicate with the radiator passage 9 or via a heat accumulator 8 for adiabatically storing the cooling medium, with a first pumping means 4 being disposed between the second pumping means 12 and a heat accumulator 8.
