PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate removal of purification agent and an underground wall body after purification, and enable effective utilization of land after purification in purifying contaminated underground water by means of the wall body including the purification agent. SOLUTION: This sheet pile wall comprises steel sheet piles continuously connected to each other, and provided with underground water purifying functions. As the steel sheet pile, a water permeable steel pipe sheet pile 2 comprising steel pipes 22 provided with water permeability at side parts by means of plural holes 21 formed in the side parts, and joint parts 23 and 24 provided for jointing the steel pipes 22 with each other is used. The water permeable sheet pile wall 20 is composed to cross a flow of the contaminated underground water using the water permeable steel pipe sheet piles 2. Jointed parts between the water permeable steel pipe sheet piles 2 is stopped. A wire net basket is inserted into the water permeable steel pipe sheet pile 2, and a bag filled with the purification agent is contained in the wire net basket.
