PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoreceptor drum driving device and image forming apparatus which faithfully transmits a rotary driving speed of a motor as a rotating speed of a photoreceptor drum by restricting backlash between a drive gear and a follower gear provided on a rotary shaft of the photoreceptor drum. SOLUTION: The photoreceptor drum driving device has a motor 5 for rotating the photoreceptor drum 1, and a drive transmission means for transmitting a driving force to the rotary shaft 1a of the photoreceptor drum 1 from the motor 5. In the photoreceptor drum driving device, the drive transmission means is composed of a worm wheel 2 provided on the rotary shaft 1a of the photoreceptor drum 1, and a worm gear 7 provided to transmit the driving force from the motor 1 to the worm wheel 2 in pressure contact with the worm wheel 2. |
