PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head protection airbag device capable of smoothly unfolding and expanding an airbag to widely cover a vehicle-inside opening by preventing an interference with a backrest part of a seat. SOLUTION: Airbags 12 of the head protection airbag device are folded and stored in upper edge sides of the vehicle-inside openings of sides of the backrest part of the seats 9, 10, and are unfolded and expanded to cover the openings when inflation gas flows in. The airbags 12 are provided with gas inflow parts 13 making the inflation gas G flow in. The gas inflow parts are provided with expansion pats 15, 19 partitioned in partition connection parts 29 and having a plurality of those arranged in parallel in a front and rear direction and expanding to separate a vehicle inside wall part 13a and a vehicle outside wall pat 13b when the inflation gas flows in. The expansion parts 15, 19 arranged on the sides of the backrest parts 9a, 10a are lower end displacement expansion parts 17, 21 having lower ends thereof 17a, 21a arranged at positions upper than lower ends 16a, 20a of other expansion parts 16, 20 to prevent an interference with upper end parts 9b, 10b of the backrest part. |
