PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light spot type display device, in which bright and high- quality display can be obtained and the cloudiness phenomenon if display body will not be generated even at a non-lighting time, and whose cost is low and which is made to cope with energy saving. SOLUTION: This is a light spot type display device 1, in which a light source 4 is provided at one side face of a light transmission plate 2, which has translucency and which is constituted by forming a plurality of reflection dots, consisting of minute recessed parts 9, and a reflection dot group 6 is displayed by making light rays from the light source 4 to be reflected on the reflection dot group 6. moreover, the shape of the cross section of each reflection dot 9 is made into an ellipse or an oblong circle or the shape of the dot is made to be a cone shape or a bowl shape having non-correct circle shaped minor axis and major axis, such as gourd, cocoon and the reflection dots 9 are arranged, so that their major axes cross the advancing direction of rays of light from the light source 4 at right angles. |
