PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device capable of illuminating efficiently a necessary region on a display panel including a display part. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a scale plate (display panel) 4 having translucent display parts 41, 42, a light source 72 arranged on the position on the back of the scale plate 4, out of direct underneath of the display parts 41, 42, and a reflector 8 arranged on the back of the scale plate 4, for reflecting light from the light source 72 to the scale plate 4 side. Reflecting faces 861, 862 facing to the scale plate 4 and approaching the scale plate 4 in proportion to withdrawal from the light source 72 are provided on a reflector 8 region corresponding to the scale plate 4 region including the display parts 41, 42, and the reflecting faces 861, 862 are constituted from the first reflecting face 861 and the second reflecting face 862 separated across an intermediate face 863.
