PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foaming type fireproof composition having effects on protection of combustibles from fire and prevention of discharge of gases, etc., produced from smoke, a flame or combustion to the outside and further water resistance by forming a carbonized layer expanded and foamed according to heating. SOLUTION: This foaming type fireproof resin composition comprises (A) a thermoplastic resin and/or a rubber material, (B) a phosphorus compound, (C) a thermally expandable graphite and/or (F) a polyfunctional alcohol and is characterized in that a discontinuous dispersed phase is formed from the phosphorus compound (B), thermally expandable graphite (C) and/or the polyhydric alcohol (F) and the distance between surfaces of the dispersed phase is >=0.1μm.
