PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concrete block capable of creating an environment easily habited by animals and plants in a space formed by stacking the concrete block, reducing a construction cost by simplifying a construction operation, and increasing a stability at the time of installation and stacking of the blocks. SOLUTION: This block 1 (11) comprises octagonal column-shaped drum parts 2 and 3 (12, 13), a flange part, 4 (14) formed in an octagonal column-shape thicker than the drum part and continuously arranged coaxially with each other at the axial one end of the drum part 2 (12), a flange part 6 (16) formed in an octagonal column-shape larger in cross section than the flange part 4 (14) and continuously arranged coaxially with each other at the axial other end of the drum part 3 (13), and a flange 5 (15) of an octagonal column-shape coaxially installed between the drum parts 2 and 3 (12, 13) apart from the flange parts 4 and 6 (14, 16) and generally congruent in cross section with the flange part 6 (16), The cross sectional shapes of the flange parts 4 to 6 (14 to 16) are positioned so as to be related to be similar to those of the drum parts 2 and 3 (12, 13).
