PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an exhaust gas property, by improving exhaust gas recirculating efficiency without sacrificing an essential function of a turbocharger. SOLUTION: A branch means 36 making partly exhaust gas flowing in an exhaust passage 14 branch to an EGR passage 24 is provided in the vicinity of a connection part between the exhaust passage 14 in the upstream of a turbine 18 and the EGR passage 24. As the branch means 36, for instance, an almost semicircular shutter, supporting one end freely turned to the exhaust passage 14 by a support shaft with the other end as a free valve element, is adopted. The shutter is controlled to selectively turn by an actuator in two positions of a position in almost parallel to an exhaust gas flow in the exhaust passage 14 and a position making partly the exhaust branch to the EGR passage 24 with a free end thereof into contact with an opening edge of the EGR passage 24. |
