PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect paper jamming caused by the winding of paper round a heating roller so as to prevent succeeding damage by the jamming from being extended in a non-contact type temperature detection system. SOLUTION: By comparing the output state of a thermopile in the case the paper does not exist on the heating roller with the output state of the thermopile in the case the paper exists on the heating roller, abnormality caused by the winding of the recording material is decided. V1 shows an output value in the case of normal paper passing. When the output value of the thermopile becomes <=V2 , a control means decides it as the jamming and stops energizing a heater and also stops the operation of the device. |
