PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film having high transparency, low in steam permeability, having especially long life and especially high contrast and reduced in color shift in a display method utilizing double refraction, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The optical film is obtained by casting a solution containing an organic polymer and a reactive metal compound on a support to dry the cast layer and peeling the cast layer to dry the same by at least one feed method selected from a roll feed method and a tenter feed method. The manufacturing method for the optical film is also disclosed. |
