ANTIFREEZE/COOLANT COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifreeze/coolant composition effective for inhibiting cavitation liable to occur in a diesel engine and preventing corrosion at the aluminum heat transfer surface. SOLUTION: The antifreeze/coolant composition is mainly composed of glycols applicable to an antifreeze and a coolant and contains (A) 0.05-8.0 wt.% of a p-toluic acid salt, (B) 0.05-8.0 wt.% of p-tert-butylbenzoic acid, (C) 0.1-5.0 wt.% of a phosphoric acid salt and (D) 0.0001-0.1 wt.% of a strontium compound.
