<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clumpy porous body whose large fluid-solid contact area is secured while the permeation resistance of a fluid is kept small and whose necessary characteristics such as the mechanical strengths and electric conductivity can be selected suitably and to provide a method for manufacturing the clumpy porous body. SOLUTION: The component to be concentrated and collected is adhered to the skeletal surface of an organic porous body having circular openings connected to one another. The organic porous body thus adhered is impregnated with the slurry containing at least ceramics particles or metal particles, which is then solidified without removing the dispersion medium of the slurry to obtain a compact. The obtained compact is dried and the organic porous body is burned down to obtain the objective clumpy porous body which consists of clumpy particles of the ceramics or metal and in which the composition of the part brought into contact with each other among the respective clumpy particles is different from that of the clumpy particle and the clumpy particles come into contact with one another three-dimensionally.</p> |
