PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tightening force control device of a fluid coupling, capable of ensuring control stability and preventing a generation of a torque shock, when speed reduction slip control is carried out. SOLUTION: In the automatic transmission of an automobile, there are provided a torque converter provided with a pump, to which a rotation force is inputted from an engine, a turbine driven by the pump through a hydraulic oil, and a lock-up clutch capable of tightening the pump and the turbine in the direct-coupled state or the slip state. Only when it is determined that the tightening state of the torque converter is in the direct-coupled state or in the transfer state from the direct-coupled state to the converter state at the time of speed reduction, is speed reduction slip control by feedback control carried out, and the control stability is ensured and a generation of the torque shock is prevented. |
