PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cyclopropanecarboxylic ester. SOLUTION: This method for producing a cyclopropanecarboxylic ester of the general formula (3) is characterized by comprising reaction between a cyclopropanecarboxylic acid of the general formula (1) (wherein, R<1> , R<2> , R<3> , R<4> and R<5> are each H, a halogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aralkyl or aryl) and a monohydroxy compound of the general formula (2): R<6> OH (wherein, R<6> is an alkyl, aralkyl or aryl) in the presence of a group 4 element compound.
