PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a clamp spring capable of carrying out bending work for a looplike spring using a progressive press die, in particular, high in productivity, and long in the lifetime of the press die. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the clamp spring comprises a process for forming an opening on a working material, a punching process for a clamp spring into a strap shape through a connecting part continueing with a feeding part forming a pilot perforation, a bending process for forming a first bent part into the clamp spring using a die and a punch linked with the press die, a bending process for forming a second bent part on the clamp spring, a bending process for bending the second bent part into an approximately triangular state using a core metal extending in the direction orthogonal to the pushing direction of the die, and a process of pressing one end being bent into the approximately triangular state in the horizontal direction and inserting the tip end of the one end into the opening while pushing up the other end.
