PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevating storage device which comprises a storage lack and an elevating device which supports the storage lack and enables it to elevate, and can prevent damages made by an interference between the stored things and surrounding things during the elevating operation. SOLUTION: A guarding body 18, which covers the outer face of parts of the storage lack body 3 where stored thing 30 sticking out and surrounding parts like a door body 5 and so on can have an interference during elevating operations of the storage lack body 3, is arranged to be able to move between the covered position and the opened position, and after the guarding body 18 is moved to the opened position and the stored thing 30 is put in/taken out, the guarding body 18 is moved to the covered position and the stored thing 30 is operated to elevate without any interference with the surrounding parts.
