PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel housed with electrical parts usable smoothly even an ambience severe to the electrical parts. SOLUTION: This fishing reel has the following construction: the outer surfaces of sealing members 46 and 48 for making the inner side of a housing 30 holding electrical parts a watertight structure, and a support plate 32, a covering body 34 and electric cables 36 each sealed in contact with the sealing members are provided with water-repellent layers 50 respectively to prevent water from adhering to the respective boundaries between these sealing members, the support plate 32, the covering body 34 and the electric cables 36.
