摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system for fluorescent observation, with which the fluorescent observation image of optimal contrast can be provided all the time regardless of dispersion or the like in the polarization characteristics of filters. SOLUTION: In the case of fluorescent observation, excited light is emitted through a blue filter, the side of a tested object 22 is irradiated with light through a light guide 12 of an endoscope 2, the reflected light and fluorescent light are passed through an objective lens 23 and an image guide 24 and further passed through the band limit filter of a second rotary filter 29 of a TV camera 3 and the filter of a third rotary filter 31 later, and an image in one part of the excited light is picked up by a CCD27 as background light together with the fluorescent light. Afterwards, the third rotary filter 3 is rotated, the image of only a background light component is picked up by the band limit filter thereof, and a peak value thereof is measured by an intensity measuring circuit 37 and controlled by a color matrix control circuit 38 so that the intensity of the background light component can be settled within a proper range in the case of the color separation of a fluorescent image component and the background light component by means of an image processing circuit 39. Thus, the fluorescent image of proper contrast can be provided.
