PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lip element designed not to be permanently deformed or not to be in shreds despite of repeated use. SOLUTION: A side cover 6 with an U-shaped cross section is equipped with an elastic lip element 7 all the way from a flange 61 on the front to a flange 62 on the bottom and covers a lower part of a seat back 1 with a protruding bracket plate 2 for a reclining mechanism. The lip element 7 has gatherings 70, 71 to extend lengthwise from the flange 61 on the front to the flange 62 on the bottom by folding the lip element 7 inward with its lip surfaces facing each other.
