PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a subject fixing device for a medical image diagnostic apparatus allowing easy attachment/detachment to/from a top plate on which a subject is placed, capable of continuously adjusting a slant angle of the head and the jaw of the subject, capable of stably fixing the jaw and the arms in an easy attitude, and generating no metal artifact. SOLUTION: This subject fixing device comprises a head reception part on which the head of the subject is placed, a jaw reception part and arm reception parts made of nonmetal material of a low X-ray absorption coefficient; and holders on which the head reception part, the jaw reception part and arm reception parts are mounted, retained by the top plate. Bottom faces of the head reception part and the jaw reception part have projecting arc-face shapes, the upper faces of the head reception holder and the jaw reception holder retaining the head reception part and the jaw reception part respectively have recessed arc-face shapes, and both right and left side faces of the arc face form nearly vertical walls. The arc faces of the head reception part and the jaw reception part have the same curvature radius as the arc face of the head reception holder, and the holders respectively have grooves slidable and attachable/detachable to the top plate.
