PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost membrane separation method, by which the clogging of a membrane is hardly generated, high permeation flux and high concentration are attained and the quality of a liquid to be treated is not degraded. SOLUTION: The liquid to be treated under pressure is introduced into a cylindrical vessel 2 from a supply inlet 1 and the polarization of the concentration and fouling are suppressed by rotating a rotary shaft 3 to generate turbulence on the surface of the membrane body. The liquid-to-be-treated permeated through the membrane body is discharged from a vessel outlet 6 and separated into a permeate liquid and a concentrate.
