PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finger protector for a sewing machine which can protect fingers regardless of the types of fabric keeper metals without the need for mounting finger protecting members respectively on the fabric keeper metals by mounting a finger protecting member on a pressor bar of the sewing machine for accomplishing sewing work in safety. SOLUTION: In the finger protector for the sewing machine, a mounting device 2 having a finger guard member 4 fastened on one side of the pressor bar 1 of the sewing machine is screwed down with a screw 3 and the end part of the screw 3 is made to stick out to the other side of the pressor bar 1 to mount the fabric keeper metal 5 while a nut 6 is detachably screwed with the protruded end part of the screw 3.
