PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cast a satisfactory product by promoting the reduction reaction of a reductive compound generated in a cavity and a oxide film of the surface of a molten metal to enhance the fluidity and distributivity of the molten metal. SOLUTION: In the reduction casting method, wherein the molten metal is tapped into the cavity 12b of a mold 12, and the molten metal and the reductive compound are brought into contact in the cavity 12b of the mold 12 to conduct the casting while deoxidizing the oxide film formed on the surface of the molten metal, the molten metal is tapped in a turbulent state into the cavity 12b, when the molten metal is tapped into the cavity 12b.
