PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood bag for separating blood components and a blood component separation method capable of obtaining pure blood components without permitting inclusion of other blood components, and capable of simplifying the manufacturing process because of a simple bag shape. SOLUTION: In the blood bag for separating blood components, when blood components are separated, by making the width of a second bag portion located in a leucocyte layer smaller than the widths of the other bag portions, the leucocyte layer can form a relatively thick one. By sealing off the boundary between the bag portions from the outside of a bag body 1, and by making the interior of each of the bag portions independent so that it may not communicate with the others, blood components do not mix up with each other, and pure blood components can be obtained. In addition, by separating in the sealed portions, each component is stored in a different bag. By making the shape of the bag simple as explained, the manufacturing process of the bag can be simplified. |
