<p>A substd. hydroxylamine of formula R-NHOH (where R is opt. subst. aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon radical) is obtd. by reacting with an N-nitrosohydroxylamine of formula R-N(NO)OH at least 15 wt % (based on the H2O and/or alcohol present in the reaction mixture) of an aq. or alcoholic strong acid, e.g. sulphuric or sulphonic acids or hydrohalic acids. The process is preferably carried out in the presence of a primary amine and a solvent such as a (halo) hydrocarbon. The products are intermediates for plant protective agents.</p> |
