METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COATED SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high speed curtain coating method for manufacturing a coated sheet, which reduces coating defects such as coating unevenness or occurrence of uncoated part. SOLUTION: In the curtain coating method for manufacturing the coated sheet, the method is characterized by providing an air cutting means to isolate entailed air by contacting with a supporter at the upstream side from the point on which the curtain of the coating solution impinges and using a base paper as the supporter which contains a filler with large particle size in the range represented by the following formula (1): BW×(FC÷100)×(USPFr÷100)<=0.8 (wherein BW represents the basis weight; FC represents the filler content based on 100 parts by weight of the solid content of whole paper (parts by weight); and USPFr represents the percentage of the filler having a particle size of 70% of more of the thickness of the supporter(%)).
