PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice tub-shaped boiled rice forming apparatus with a heat insulation mechanism, with which a bite-sized oblong of slightly vinegared rice for hand-rolled sushi or a rice ball a little warmer than the human skin is readily obtained. SOLUTION: A boiled rice feeding mechanism 2 and a boiled rice compressing and forming mechanism 6 are arranged side by side in a rice tub-shaped container 1. The boiled rice feeding mechanism 2 is composed of a loosening member 4 for loosening boiled rice and a hopper 3 furnished with a sending member 5 for sending boiled rice to the boiled rice compressing and forming mechanism 6. On the other hand, the boiled rice compressing and forming mechanism 6 is composed of a screw conveyor 8 for compressing and transporting boiled rice sent from the lower part of the hopper 3 and a forming mechanism 9 for cutting the boiled rice into a bite-sized oblong of slightly vinegared rice of fixed shape for hand-rolled sushi or a rice ball. Further, heaters 15 for boiled rice heating are arranged on outside surfaces of the boiled rice feeding mechanism 2 and the boiled rice compressing and forming mechanism 6. |
